The provisional selection list of candidates after the 2nd round of online counseling for admission to the vacant 1st-year B.Sc. Nursing seats in Government Nursing Colleges of Assam for the 2023 session has been published.
The list is now available on the official website of this Directorate, www.dme.assam.gov.in. All selected candidates, whether they are newly allotted or have changed their College, are hereby instructed to report to the respective Government Nursing Colleges’ Principal’s office with all their original documents, including 10+2 Marksheet, CEE-2023 Admit Card & Score Card, PRC, Caste Certificate (wherever applicable), Counseling fee payment receipt, etc., on 11th & 12th October 2023 for admission.
Failure to complete admission within the stipulated time will result in the cancellation of their allotted seat. Candidates selected for admission at Government Nursing College, Jorhat, and Government Nursing College, Kokrajhar, should report to the Principal of Jorhat Medical College, Jorhat, and Kokrajhar Medical College, Kokrajhar, respectively, along with the mentioned documents.
Candidates who have been re-allotted seats during the 2nd counseling should first collect their original documents with a release letter from the respective Principals of the Government Nursing Colleges where they were initially admitted.
Afterward, they can report to the Principal of the re-allotted college for admission. Candidates must deposit their original Admit Cards, Marks Sheets, Pass Certificates of HSLC and H.S.SLC or Equivalent examination, Caste certificate, E.W.S. certificate, etc., to the Principal of the respective Nursing Colleges at the time of admission.
Admission of the candidates is subject to satisfactory Medical fitness certificates issued by the Medical Board constituted by the respective Principal of the Nursing Colleges. All admissions are provisional. Candidates who did not secure admission into the B.Sc. Nursing course under Government Nursing Colleges of Assam but meet the minimum cut-off marks may apply for admission into the B.Sc. Nursing course at Private Nursing Institutes affiliated under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS). The list of affiliated Private Nursing Institutes is available on the official website of SSUHS.
