Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a graduate degree from a government recognized University as of August 1, 2023.

Age Limit

• The minimum age is 20 years, and the maximum age is 28 years as of August 1, 2023.
• Upper age limit relaxation applies as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.
• Training Duration: The apprenticeship program lasts for one year.

 Important Points

• Candidates must not have undergone any prior apprenticeship, either with SBI or any other organization, or currently pursuing apprenticeship as per the Apprenticeship Act 1961.
• The training duration is one year, following Government of India Guidelines for leave, working conditions, and holidays.
• Candidates with one year or more of training or job experience after obtaining their educational qualifications are not eligible for engagement as Apprentices.
• Ex-servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen are not eligible for apprenticeship, and there is no reservation for them.
• SBI is not obligated to offer regular employment to Apprentices during or after the apprenticeship period. Candidates will be relieved from the work area after completing the apprenticeship.
• The Bank’s decisions on eligibility, application acceptance/rejection, selection mode, and seat filling are final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
• Incomplete online applications will be rejected, and no communication will be entertained regarding this.
• Eligibility for engagement will be determined at the time of document verification, and provisional admission to tests will be based on information provided during the online application.
• Candidates are advised to apply well in advance of the closing date to avoid internet-related issues or website congestion.
• SBI is not responsible for application submission issues beyond its control.
• Only one application per candidate is allowed, and multiple applications will lead to the last valid one being retained.
• In case of examination administration issues, efforts will be made to rectify them, including conducting another examination if necessary.
• Candidates should keep a printed copy of their submitted online application form.
• SC/ST candidates must submit a caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority during engagement, if called for.
• OBC candidates seeking reservation should submit a declaration confirming non-creamy layer status and an OBC certificate as per the specified timeline.
• EWS category candidates must provide an ‘Income and Asset Certificate’ as prescribed by the Government of India.
• PwBD candidates need to produce a disability certificate issued by a competent authority per Government of India Guidelines.
• Candidates must keep their registered email/mobile active for receiving notifications.
• Selected candidates must meet the Bank’s medical fitness requirements and comply with all relevant rules/policies/guidelines.
• Any legal proceedings arising from this advertisement or application can only be instituted in Mumbai.
• Candidates must bear their own expenses for test appearances; SBI will not reimburse these costs.
• Selected apprentices must meet medical fitness requirements and complete KYE formalities satisfactorily.
• Changes to submitted data after the final online submission are not allowed.
• All candidates (except those in North Eastern states) must provide their Aadhaar number before engagement.
• The Bank reserves the right to cancel the selection process partly or entirely at any stage.
